About The Role
The Maintenance Technician II role is a vital position within our client's manufacturing environment, responsible for maintaining and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and facility systems. This position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues to ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational efficiency. The technician will support installation projects, oversee spare parts inventory, and mentor junior staff. The role offers multiple shifts, including scheduled 9-hour shifts, rotating weekend shifts, and opportunities for overtime, making it ideal for professionals seeking a challenging yet rewarding career in industrial maintenance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of experience in industrial or facility maintenance, particularly with high-volume conveying systems. A strong background in electrical troubleshooting, PLC programming, and mechanical repairs is essential. Candidates should have hands-on experience with motors, electrical controls, water systems, large washers, and high-volume operations. Additional qualifications include proficiency in welding, pipe installation, boiler and heating systems, and general facility maintenance such as door repairs and forklift servicing. A strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices, along with the ability to mentor less experienced technicians, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician II will be tasked with identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving mechanical and electrical safety issues promptly. They will evaluate equipment and facility needs, recommend effective solutions, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Maintaining accurate inventory controls for spare parts, tools, and supplies is crucial, as is supporting installation and startup of new equipment and ongoing facility projects. The technician will assist with daily operational support, including routine maintenance and emergency repairs, and participate in training warehouse and operations personnel to foster a culture of safety and efficiency. Additionally, they will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support management in planning and executing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.

The role includes 22 days of PTO, with floating holidays and accrual-based leave, along with 8 recognized holidays. The position provides scheduled 9-hour shifts, rotating weekends, and opportunities for additional overtime, with an average of 8-12 hours of overtime per week available.
