Software Engineer
We build software that runs real restaurants.
Adora is a browser-based POS platform purpose-built for pizzerias and fast-casual restaurants. Our customers don't have time for clunky software — and neither do we. We're a ~55-person team that ships fast, values craftsmanship, and gives senior engineers real ownership over complex, impactful work.
We're looking for a Software Developer III — the kind of senior engineer who fixes root causes instead of symptoms, mentors teammates without being asked, and makes the codebase better every time they touch it.
What You'll Own
- End-to-end delivery of complex features across our POS, OLO, and integration layer — from planning and architecture through testing and release
- High-quality PR reviews that sharpen team standards and catch issues before QA does
- Root-cause diagnosis of recurring defects, driving durable fixes over patchwork solutions
- Early, clear communication of technical risks — with proposed tradeoffs, not just problems
- Mentoring junior developers through code review, documentation, and shared technical ownership
- Production stability support, including incident response and post-issue follow-up
What You Bring
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of professional software development delivering production-grade systems
- Strong proficiency in C# and/or TypeScript; comfortable across the full stack
- Hands-on experience with backend development: SQL, stored procedures, REST APIs, and system integrations
- Solid command of Agile/Scrum workflows and cross-functional collaboration with BA, QA, and Product
- Demonstrated history of reducing regressions through test coverage, durable fixes, and proactive edge-case handling
- Experience mentoring developers and elevating team output through technical leadership and code review
- BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
Bonus Points:
- Experience with .NET, browser-based applications, or restaurant/hospitality technology
- Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS architecture
- Comfort in client-facing technical conversations or change request scoping
