About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with expertise in Power BI, SQL, and Data Modeling to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that facilitate industrial intelligence for oil and gas operations. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze complex datasets from various sources, including industry-specific tools such as NetSuite, WellDatabase, Enverus, and Drillinginfo, and to translate this data into actionable insights through advanced dashboards and reports. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, identify opportunities for process improvements, and support upstream operational decision-making. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging problems within a fast-paced environment, utilizing your technical expertise to influence strategic decisions and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field, along with at least five years of experience in data analysis or a similar role. Proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI, and Tableau is essential, as is experience with API development and data pipeline construction. Familiarity with industry-specific tools such as NetSuite, WellDatabase, Enverus, and Drillinginfo is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate findings effectively. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are also required. A background in the oil and gas industry, particularly in upstream operations, will be considered a significant advantage, along with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using APIs and other data extraction techniques to ensure seamless data flow from various sources.
  • Utilize SQL and Python to manipulate, analyze, and interpret high-volume, high-dimensionality datasets from diverse sources.
  • Create, manage, and optimize advanced reports and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, and other BI tools to deliver insightful visualizations to stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications to guide data analysis and reporting initiatives.
  • Collaborate with different teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancements.
  • Provide data analysis and insights to support upstream operations, including monitoring and maintaining the performance of Electrical Submersible Pumps.
  • Leverage industry-specific tools such as NetSuite, WellDatabase, Enverus, and Drillinginfo for data extraction, integration, and analysis.
  • Monitor the performance of key equipment and processes using data analytics techniques to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain data quality and integrity through rigorous validation and testing procedures.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve data strategies and solutions.
