Java Backend Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a
Java Backend Engineer
for a
Contract
with a client in
Sunnyvale, CA(Hybrid).
You’ll design cloud‑based storage and streaming solutions while ensuring data quality and seamless collaboration across engineering teams.
Rate Range:
$60/hour to $64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Java Backend Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Spark, Java, Python, and Scala.
• Develop optimized SQL queries and ETL processes to support data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Implement cloud‑based data storage and processing solutions using AWS or GCP.
• Build and manage real‑time data streaming systems using MSK/Kafka.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all back-end systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineering teams to deliver reliable, data‑driven solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 5–10 years of experience in back-end development with a strong focus on data engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Spark, Python, Scala, and Java.
• Expertise in SQL, cloud technologies (AWS/GCP), and real-time streaming platforms like MSK/Kafka.

Pay Details:
$60.00 to $64.00 per hour
