Amazon's North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is seeking a Financial Analyst II to be a trusted partner for Inventory & Quality (IQ) Finance, supporting the NA Quality team. In this role, you will partner directly with operations teams to evaluate long-term planning of Inventory Control Quality Assurance (ICQA) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) metrics, playing an integral part in redefining inventory controls.
You will support financial planning cycles, cost controllership around network ICQA spend, and inventory controls/SOX compliance while delivering data-driven insights that improve cost efficiency. This position requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and business partnership expertise to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
Key job responsibilities
- Own financial planning cycles (Operating Plan/Quarterly Guidance) for the NA Quality team, including budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Monitor and analyze critical metrics for inventory controls and SOX compliance, proactively identifying issues and recommending solutions
- Partner with operations teams to evaluate long-term planning of ICQA metrics and provide financial insights that drive decision-making
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reports and dashboards that track performance against key indicators
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including AFT Finance, Accounting, NACF Central Finance teams, and global operations partners to implement and expand controls monitoring
A day in the life
Your day starts with reviewing key metrics and financial performance for the NA Quality team. You'll analyze ICQA spend patterns and SOX compliance data, preparing insights for upcoming stakeholder meetings. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with operations partners to discuss inventory control strategies, attend planning sessions for quarterly guidance, and work on ad hoc financial analyses that help optimize costs across the NACF network. You'll regularly communicate findings to leadership and implement improvements to financial processes.
About The Team
The IQ Finance team supports the NA Quality organization in helping reduce inventory defects and optimizing cost across the North American Customer Fulfillment network. We own financial planning cycles, reporting, and controls monitoring while working with a diverse set of partners.
Our team collaborates with AFT Finance, Accounting, NACF Central Finance teams, and global operations partners for controls monitoring and expansion. Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
