Description
Amazon Healthcare Security's (HealthSec) team is currently hiring for a Security Engineer II to join our Security team and play a critical role in protecting Amazon One Medical's infrastructure. As a Security Engineer II, you will apply your strong technical skills to assess security risks, develop mitigation strategies, and integrate security controls into our rapidly evolving operational systems.
Working closely with our security engineers and product teams, you will help safeguard the networks, devices, and workflows that power Amazon's supply chain and enable seamless delivery for our customers. Key job responsibilities

  • Assist in security reviews of architecture, automation tools, and robotics infrastructure.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify security vulnerabilities in workflows.
  • Support the implementation of security best practices for Amazon including network security, identity management, and secure system deployment.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to integrate security controls.
  • Assist in security incident investigations related to fulfillment, logistics infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain security documentation, including threat models, risk assessments, and security guidelines.
  • Support security automation efforts, including monitoring and alerting for key security risks.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object oriented language experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
  • Experience applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of any combination of the following: threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration and network security experience
  • Experience with AWS products and services
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
