As Atom continues to scale, we’re investing in our people operations infrastructure to ensure a seamless and well-run employee experience. We’re looking for a hands-on, operationally strong HR Manager to help bring structure, consistency, and accountability across the employee lifecycle.
This is not a traditional HR role. In addition to core HR responsibilities, this role partners closely with Finance and leadership to ensure everything tied to people, payroll readiness, and related workflows is accurate, aligned, and fully executed. This role requires someone who is highly detail-oriented and comfortable owning both HR operations and the coordination of payroll and related processes.
What You’ll Do
- Own and improve core HR processes, including onboarding, off-boarding, and full employee lifecycle support
- Manage HR systems (e.g., Sequoia, Deel, Rippling) and ensure data accuracy across platforms
- Ensure payroll readiness by validating employee changes and coordinating closely with payroll providers
- Oversee contractor and HR-related vendor workflows, ensuring approvals, documentation, and payments are aligned
- Build and enforce clear processes across HR, Finance, Legal, and IT
- Serve as a trusted partner to employees and managers on HR-related matters and policy interpretation
- Maintain compliant policies, documentation, and handle employee relations matters as needed
- Support performance cycles, reporting, and other initiatives that improve operational clarity and consistency
What You’ll Bring
- 5–8 years of HR / People Operations experience in fast-paced environments
- Strong operational mindset with experience owning processes end-to-end
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Sequoia, Deel, Rippling or similar)
- Experience supporting offshore teams and coordinating global payroll across multiple regions
- High attention to detail and ability to manage cross-functional workflows
- Strong judgment and ability to handle sensitive situations
- Comfortable operating in evolving or unstructured environments
What Sets This Role Apart
- High ownership across both HR operations and payroll/vendor coordination
- Direct impact on building scalable, reliable people infrastructure
- Opportunity to create structure and clarity in a fast-growing environment
