From configuration and security to patching across Windows, macOS, and Linux, our products empower IT and security teams to stay ahead of threats with ease and confidence.
About The Role
Automox is scaling its product organization, and this role is part of that growth. As an Associate Product Manager, you'll work directly alongside senior product managers, supporting discovery, scoping, and delivery across product areas, while building the skills and track record to take on increasing ownership over time.
You'll connect customer problems to product decisions, write clear, well-scoped requirements that engineering can execute against, assist in go-to-market and launch activities, and develop the habits of a product manager who thinks in outcomes, not features. You'll be supported and coached directly by the Senior Director of Product and Senior Product Managers.
This role will be a split between Product Owner and Product Manager responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing
- Support senior PMs and UX across discovery, scoping, prioritization, and delivery
- Write clear, well-reasoned tickets and acceptance criteria that reflect the customer problem being solved, not just the feature spec
- Maintain a current, evidence-backed understanding of your product area; what's working, what's not, and what customers are asking for
- Participate in sprint ceremonies as an active contributor, not an observer
- Assist with go-to-market and launch activities in collaboration with GTM teams
What You’ll Learn
- How to conduct and synthesize customer discovery
- How to prioritize when engineering capacity is scarce
- How to build and defend a product case using customer evidence and business impact
- How product strategy translates to roadmap and roadmap translates to execution
Background & Skills Required
- 2-5 years of experience in a product role
- You are deeply collaborative and believe the best outcomes come from cross-functional partnership within and outside of the product function
- Ability to write clearly and think structurally; you can take a messy problem and make it legible
- We actively use AI tools to increase productivity and improve the quality of our work. A willingness to learn and experiment with AI in your day-to-day life is part of how we operate
- Comfort working in ambiguity with a bias toward action
- Curiosity about the "why" behind customer behavior, not just the "what" they're asking for
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
Nice to Have
- Experience in endpoint management, IT operations, cybersecurity, or B2B SaaS
