Energy Auditor / Home Energy Specialist (Residential & Commercial)
Job Description:
B. Alpha Construction is hiring a motivated Energy Auditor / Home Energy Specialist to perform residential and commercial energy assessments and develop scopes of work for insulation and weatherization projects.
We specialize in multi-family and commercial insulation projects, making this an ideal role for someone who wants exposure beyond standard residential audits and grow within a high-production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct home energy audits and light commercial assessments
- Perform blower door testing, insulation evaluation, and air leakage diagnostics
- Identify energy efficiency improvements and build detailed scopes of work
- Work within Mass Save and other energy efficiency program guidelines
- Coordinate with internal team to move projects into production
- Communicate findings clearly with property owners, managers, and team
Qualifications:
- Experience as an Energy Auditor, HES Specialist, or Building Performance Technician
- Familiarity with Mass Save or similar energy efficiency programs
- Knowledge of insulation, air sealing, and building envelope systems
- Experience with multi-family or commercial buildings (preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- BPI Certification (preferred but not required)
- Valid driver’s license
