Why Bilanc & Our Story
As former engineering leaders, we experienced firsthand how traditional metrics, like lines of code, are fundamentally broken. That pain became even more obvious in the agentic era, where engineering teams are spending massive budgets on tools like Cursor and Copilot without actually understanding the impact on output and codebase quality.
So, we built Bilanc: an engineering intelligence platform that connects to a team's devtools and runs an agentic AI pipeline to analyze
*every single pull request*
. We give CTOs and VPs of Engineering the ability to measure AI ROI, score code complexity, and track real throughput.
We are backed by Y Combinator, are already trusted by engineering teams at News Corp, GoFundMe, Origin Financial, and more, and now we need our very first GTM hire to help us scale.
What You'll Do
This is a highly strategic outbound role. You will be the tip of the spear for our revenue org, selling a technical product to a technical audience.

  • Own the Top of Funnel: You will own the outbound motion for our mid-market & enterprise segments, identifying and targeting CTOs, VPEs, and Platform Leads.
  • Craft the Messaging: Write technical, personalized messaging that speaks directly to their pain points.
  • Iterate & Build: Collaborate directly with the founders to rapidly iterate on messaging, qualification criteria, and sales scripts based on live feedback from technical leaders. You will lay the foundation for our entire outbound playbook.

First 30/60/90 Days

  • First 30 Days: You aren't just shadowing; you're executing. By Day 10, you’ll master our technical value prop, understand the gap between basic DORA metrics and Bilanc's AI-scored PR metrics, and launch your first targeted outbound sequence. By Day 30, you will have successfully booked your first handful of qualified meetings with CTOs and VPEs.
  • First 60 Days: You are consistently hitting your weekly meeting quotas and owning the qualification process end-to-end. Rather than waiting for a quarterly review, you and I are analyzing initial response data, conducting our first major messaging audit, and rapidly iterating on our pitch based on live market feedback.
  • First 90 Days: You are operating as a fully autonomous pipeline-generating engine and consistently crushing your targets. You are feeding critical market insights back to the engineering team and have finalized the "v1 Bilanc Outbound Playbook" so we can hire SDRs #2 and #3 to scale what you've built.

About You

  • Technical Acumen: You are intellectually curious and comfortable navigating technical conversations. You don't need to be a software engineer, but you need to understand concepts like pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, and monorepos.
  • Sharp Communicator: You are a phenomenal, concise writer. You know that CTOs ignore fluff and generic sales buzzwords; they want directness, data, and value.
  • Strategic Prospector: You have a proven track record of outbound prospecting and prefer a tailored, research-backed approach over high-volume "spray and pray."
  • Builder Mentality: You thrive in an unstructured, early-stage environment. You don't want to just execute a playbook; you want to write it.

Bonus Points

  • Direct experience selling to technical buyers (CTO / VP of Eng etc.)
  • Previous experience as an early SDR or founding GTM hire at a Seed or Series A startup.
