Company Description

Bluebono is an integrated real estate private credit platform specializing in short-term commercial and residential investment lending, development financing, structured private credit, residential mortgage solutions, and investor capital programs. We support a wide ecosystem of developers, brokers, mortgage bankers, and institutional/private investors through data-driven underwriting, flexible loan programs, and high-integrity credit governance.

Our platform spans fix-and-flip, construction, bridge, conventional mortgage and capital partners across onshore/offshore structures. We are scaling rapidly and building sophisticated analytics-driven systems to support loan intake, credit evaluation, pricing, and partner-facing workflows.

Role Description

The Business Development Associate (Operations & Analytics Track) is a core execution role responsible for owning the lending pipeline end-to-end—from initial deal screening through credit decisioning support, closing coordination, and post-close monitoring and feedback loops. The role operates at the intersection of origination, credit, operations, and analytics, ensuring that deals move efficiently, consistently, and in alignment with platform credit standards and execution timelines.

This position functions as a private credit platform operator, managing deal flow, enforcing process discipline, surfacing risks early, improving turnaround time, and building tools and workflows that enhance underwriting quality, execution reliability, and data integrity.

The Business Development Associate works cross-functionally with underwriting and credit, operations, business development, capital markets, and product/engineering teams to continuously improve pipeline performance, decision infrastructure, and overall platform scalability.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the end-to-end lending pipeline from deal screening through underwriting support, closing coordination, and post-close handoff.
  • Drive deal execution by coordinating underwriting, operations, BD, capital markets, legal, valuation, and third-party partners.
  • Prepare decision-ready deal materials for credit review, including structure, leverage, collateral, exit strategy, and key risks.
  • Support credit decisioning through financial analysis, scenario testing, and validation of assumptions.
  • Monitor pipeline health and execution metrics, including turnaround times, fallout, exceptions, and partner performance.
  • Identify and resolve execution risks, process bottlenecks, and data gaps; escalate issues as needed.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics for pipeline management, credit performance, and investor needs.
  • Design, document, and improve workflows across software systems, underwriting, closing, and post-close processes.
  • Develop automation and data tools to improve efficiency and decision quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, analytical, or business discipline (Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar).
  • 1–3 years of experience in real estate lending, private credit, mortgage banking, investment analysis, or deal/credit operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify operational, credit, or execution problems, break them into root causes, and design practical solutions.
  • Experience translating ambiguous or incomplete deal information into clear assumptions, structured analyses, and defined action plans.
  • Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and validation of deal-level assumptions.
  • Experience executing multi-step processes end-to-end, tracking dependencies, and adjusting approach based on outcomes.
  • Comfortable working across multiple concurrent transactions and iterating on processes to improve speed, accuracy, or decision quality.

Preferred

  • Experience designing or improving workflows, tools, or systems to address recurring operational or credit issues.
  • Familiarity with data-driven decision-making in lending or investment environments (e.g., pipeline metrics, exception tracking, performance analysis).
  • Exposure to underwriting review, credit approval, or investment committee processes.
  • Experience supporting investor reporting, portfolio monitoring, or capital markets workflows.
  • Experience operating in regulated or compliance-sensitive lending environments.
