Job Description
Bose Automotive is a market leader in the premium audio and active sound management (ASM) markets, creating audio systems consumers love across many OEMs. As the In-Market Product Leader, you will report directly to the VP of Product, in the front line of the market, aligning with consumers and OEMs on the features and performance levels that matter for our Audio products (Bose, McIntosh and Sonus faber) and Active Sound Management products. You will work closely with Platforming and Experiences Product Managers, Marketing, Engineering and Sales to align on the feature and product delivery attributes that will differentiate the products in the market and enable efficient product delivery. You are responsible for creating and communicating the in-market product roadmap, vision, and strategy internally and externally to OEM customers.
You will also work closely with the advanced planning and Research teams to build insights into the consumers’ needs and jobs to be done, aligning these with the in-market products. You will meet with OEM teams to share and align roadmaps and timing and synthesize the learnings back into a comprehensive product vision and roadmap that will drive innovation and new products. Lastly, you will own our pricing strategy, with support, to help drive consistency and rationale to pricing tiers within the Audio and ASM product portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Define the vision and strategy for each product, ensuring market competitiveness relative to consumer segments and audio levels, focusing on Bose growth objectives.
- Develop and manage the product roadmap, linked to feature and reference design roadmaps to drive product improvements over time.
- Create product definitions that define the features, requirements, performance level (audio and ASM), as informed from consumer, product and OEM input.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (NPx, marketing, engineering, sales) to drive OEM and development timing alignment and set product priorities
- Responsible for the financial success of the product, develop and track financial metrics for product volume, revenue, margin. This is inclusive of pricing.
- Gather and prioritize consumer and customer requirements through regular engagements.
- Drive new product launches and monitor performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- MBA or advanced engineering degree
- 15+ years of product management experience (adjust based on level).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Affinity for audio and experience in Automotive Software Products is desired.
- Highly polished writing ability, very strong presentation and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to drive product and strategy cohesion through collaboration with key stakeholders
- Financial acumen with P&L background preferred.
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence.
- AI Tools experience to deliver predictive analytics, with a strong desire to expand capability in this role
- Moderate travel (15-25% - mix of US domestic and international)

The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Troy, Michigan is: $217,900-$299,500.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may vary.
