About The Role
We’re looking for a sharp, fast, and performance-minded
Video Editor
who understands that editing for ads is very different from editing for entertainment. This role is for someone who knows how to create scroll-stopping creative built to convert — not just look pretty.
You should understand hooks, pacing, retention, CTA moments, platform-native editing styles, and how to turn raw footage into paid social assets that drive results.
Agency experience is a major plus, especially if you’ve worked across multiple brands and know how to move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Edit high-performing video ads for Meta, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other paid social platforms
- Turn raw footage, UGC, product shots, and existing brand content into compelling ad creatives
- Create multiple variations of winning concepts for testing (hooks, intros, CTAs, lengths, formats)
- Add motion graphics, captions, text overlays, sound design, transitions, and platform-native effects
- Understand direct response principles and build creative with conversion in mind
- Collaborate with media buyers, creative strategists, and account teams to iterate based on performance data
- Maintain organized file systems and fast turnaround times
- Stay on top of trends in paid social creative and editing styles
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of video editing experience
(paid social / DTC / eCommerce preferred)
- Strong portfolio showing ad creative, UGC ads, direct response, or conversion-focused content
- Agency experience strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of Meta and TikTok creative best practices
- Strong instincts for hooks, pacing, retention, and storytelling
- Ability to edit quickly without sacrificing quality
- Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating fast
- Organized, dependable, and proactive communicator
Tools/ Skills
- Adobe Premiere Pro / After Effects / CapCut / Final Cut (any strong combo)
- Motion graphics and text animation skills a plus
- Experience with AI editing tools / creative tools is a plus
- Basic graphic design sense highly preferred
