The Opportunity

We are looking for a strategic
Product Owner (Platform)
to join our Toronto office and serve as the architect of our foundational product roadmap. In this role, you will be responsible for the health, scalability, and success of our core platform, ensuring our technical infrastructure evolves in lockstep with our business goals. We need a proactive professional who excels at managing complex backlogs and can translate high-level vision into the precise, actionable requirements that allow our engineering teams to build world-class solutions.

What You’ll Do

- Platform Stewardship:
Strategically manage and prioritize the Platform Backlog, ensuring all infrastructure and core feature developments align with long-term business objectives.
- Requirements Engineering:
Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements, working closely with stakeholders to turn complex technical needs into clear, developer-ready tasks.
- Sprint Leadership:
Lead key Scrum ceremonies—including daily stand-ups and sprint planning—while defining clear goals that keep the team focused on high-impact deliverables.
- Backlog Refinement:
Drive continuous refinement by preparing and clarifying epics, user stories, and edge cases well in advance of development cycles.
- Stakeholder Synchronization:
Maintain transparent communication between technical teams and business leaders, ensuring unified direction on change requests and operational updates.
- Strategic Roadmap Support:
Collaborate on OKR planning and quarterly goal-setting, tracking progress to ensure our platform remains a competitive advantage.

What You’ll Bring

- Proven Expertise:
Significant experience as a Product Owner, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex technical requirements.
- Technical Writing & Clarity:
Exceptional skill in drafting detailed user stories and use cases that provide a clear blueprint for engineering teams.
- Decisive Ownership:
A strong track record of backlog ownership, including expert-level prioritization and the ability to track implementation deadlines with precision.
- Translational Communication:
The ability to navigate effortlessly between deep technical discussions with developers and strategic conversations with business stakeholders.
- Organizational Rigour:
A highly structured approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-concurrency environment.
