About The Role
We are seeking an experienced paralegal with a strong foundation in Pennsylvania estate planning, estate administration, and trust administration who can step in quickly, contribute at a high level, and provide meaningful support with minimal training.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident in client interactions, understands the full lifecycle of estate planning and administration matters, and can assist in client meetings, review documents, and help move cases forward with accuracy and efficiency.
You will serve as a key partner to the attorney, helping manage matters from initial client discussions through completion, while also supporting ongoing client communication and case progress.
Key Responsibilities
Client Interaction & Case Support

  • Participate in client meetings and assist with discussions around estate plans and administration matters
  • Communicate directly with clients, answering questions and providing updates on case status
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact and help guide clients through processes

Estate Planning Support

  • Assist in drafting and reviewing estate planning documents
  • Prepare and organize client information for plan design and execution
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of documents prior to signing

Estate & Trust Administration

  • Manage administration matters from intake through closing
  • Work with executors, trustees, beneficiaries, and financial institutions

Document Drafting & Systems

  • Draft documents using estate planning and administration software
  • Maintain organized and accurate client files
  • Utilize systems such as Microsoft 365, CosmoLex, and Lawmatics

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of current experience in Pennsylvania estate planning and estate and trust administration law
  • Experience drafting estate planning documents and administration filings
  • Strong understanding of Pennsylvania estate and probate processes
  • Ability to confidently participate in client conversations and support meetings
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office
  • Paralegal certificate, relevant education, or equivalent experience preferred

Work Environment

  • In-office presence is preferred, with hybrid or remote flexibility available
  • Candidates should be located within reasonable driving distance of Johnstown, PA; remote consideration may be given to those with strong experience and knowledge of Pennsylvania law
  • In-office time will vary based on client meetings and firm needs
