Sr Staff Accountant

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for operational accounting, managing/reconciling general ledger accounts, researching and resolving variances, preparing journal entries and preparing various spreadsheets
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for maintaining/reconciling certain general ledger accounts and researching and resolving variances
- Prepare adjusting entries, accruals, and closing entries to maintain the accuracy, completeness and integrity of the accounting records and to facilitate an efficient accounting close process
- Responsible for maintaining certain processes documentation
- Run close process in NetSuite and post close reports
- Review POs monthly for accruals and close POs when out of date
- Assist with intercompany charges billed to other Canon entities
- Assist with gathering information for annual tax return preparation
- Prepare various financial reports for management and Canon
- Assist with forecasting and budgeting
- File Annual Reports
- Coordinate with Canon auditors as needed
- Ensure all activities are in compliance with Company’s procedures for internal control
- Represent Finance and Accounting Department in cross functional projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in related position
- Experience with accounting software and exposure to corporate IT systems and networks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (primarily Excel)
- Must have strong interpersonal skills
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills

COMPENSATION
$75,310 - $112,370 base salary (dependent on experience)
