Solutions Architect - Sales Engineer
Location:
Arlington, VA (Remote)
Salary:
$250,000 OTE
Role Summary:
Drive presales success by designing enterprise-grade AWS architectures, leading client discussions, and guiding cloud migrations and data strategies. Partner with sales and engineering teams to influence outcomes and deliver long-term client value.
Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope supporting business drivers.
  • Define overall architecture with presales considerations.
  • Define technical requirements and architectures, focusing on presales solutions.
  • Design and direct migration processes, including data engineering.
  • Create SOWs and collaborate with the sales team to close deals.
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a client-facing pre-sales or sales engineering role.
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture (designing, migrating, modernizing).
  • Experience with Amazon Connect or similar CCaaS platforms and AI-driven capabilities.
  • Proficiency in coding, scripting, or automation (e.g., Python, Java, PowerShell).
  • Practical experience with AI tools and prompt engineering (e.g., Amazon Q, MCP, AWS Kiro).
  • Background in roles such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Consultant.
  • 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field and AWS certifications/SME experience preferred.
