## Overview

The Senior Business Analyst, AI Enablement serves as the critical liaison between clinical departments, technical teams, and governance committees in Children's Mercy's multi-tiered AI governance framework. This role is responsible for gathering and translating complex clinical and operational requirements into actionable governance workflows, ensuring timely decision-making while maintaining rigorous standards for safety, compliance, and clinical outcomes. The Analyst conducts deep workflow analysis, documents requirements and processes, evaluates AI/automation solutions against clinical workflows, tracks governance decisions, and manages the intake and evaluation pipeline for AI opportunities. This position directly enables the AI Enablement leader to focus on strategic leadership and stakeholder alignment while ensuring the governance framework operates smoothly and consistently. Success in this role requires balancing speed with thoroughness, technical fluency with clinical empathy, analytical rigor with collaboration, and governance discipline with innovation enablement.

Candidates must live within driving distance of our main campus in KCMO.

## Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering Documentation:
  • This role leads the discovery, analysis, and documentation of clinical, operational, and technical requirements to support AI solution evaluation and governance.
  • The work ensures that complex needs are translated into clear, actionable artifacts that guide decision-making across clinical and technical teams.
  • Governance Process Management Administration:
  • Provide the operational structure and administrative continuity that keeps the organization's tiered AI governance model functioning smoothly and transparently.
  • Ensure that committees, evaluations, and decision pathways run on time, are well-documented, and maintain accountability.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination Stakeholder Liaison:
  • Serve as the connective tissue across clinical, technical, and governance teams, ensuring smooth collaboration, clear communication, and early identification of risks or dependencies.
  • Enable alignment among diverse stakeholders and keeps AI initiatives moving forward with clarity and cohesion.

## Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, healthcare administration, information technology, operations, data science, or related field and 5-7 years' experience. Healthcare operations, business process improvement, clinical informatics, cross-functional project coordination, or related experience.

## Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $45.83/hr, but your salaried offer will be determined based upon your education and experience.

## Remote Work/Work from Home

This is an intermittent remote position, which means that the person hired will work with his or her manager to determine a schedule that includes both at home and on-site hours at a Children’s Mercy location. The incumbent must live in the Kansas City metro area.
