
Staff Accountant - Multifamily Property Management

- Manage full-cycle accounting operations for multiple properties.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure smooth day-to-day financial management.
- Prepare financial reports and monitor property-level performance.

Skills, Knowledge and Personal Characteristics:
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple multifamily properties
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and tenant ledgers
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements and reports
- Handle rent roll reconciliation, security deposits, and escrow accounts
- Process payroll and maintain employee records
- Track property budgets, expenses, and variances
- Assist with year-end closing
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial management activities to aid strategic decision-making
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for candidates in the property management industry.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of multifamily accounting practices and financial operations.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level skills in property management software like AppFolio or Yardi.
- Accounting Tools: Proficient in QuickBooks and general accounting software suites.
- Soft Skills: High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple property deadlines simultaneously.
- Communication: Strong problem-solving abilities and clear professional communication skills.
