Job title: Product Owner

Position Summary:

The IT Product Owner is responsible for managing the product backlog and guiding technology delivery that support day-to-day operations and drive operational excellence. This role works closely with Operations stakeholder and technical teams to define requirements, prioritize work and ensure solutions are delivered effectively, meet quality standards and align with organizational and regulatory policies. The IT Product Owner plays a critical role in maintaining product health, enhancing functionality and advancing the product to deliver measurable business value.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Define and maintain the product vision, strategy and roadmap, while ensuring alignment with business objectives, architecture and governance standards
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle within a SAFe Agile framework, from requirements gathering and backlog prioritization to delivery, release and continuous improvement
- Serve as the voice of the business within the Agile team, communicating decisions and scope to ensure alignment on goals and delivery expectations while managing competing priorities
- Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and analysts to refine features, define user stories and maintain prioritized backlog
- Participate in PI planning, sprint planning and backlog refinement, ensuring dependencies are managed and features are ready for delivery
- Act as the final "Quality Gatekeeper" by accepting user stories, ensuring they meet the Definition of Done (DoD) and satisfy all acceptance criteria
- Collaborate daily with the Scrum Master and Developers to clear functional blockers and pivot quickly when technical constraints arise
- Analyze real-time user behavior data to adjust backlog between iterations and ensure that Architectural Runway is maintained and technical debt is balanced against feature delivery
- Work closely with QA to ensure the feature delivery is in line with the requirements while QA validation is done at various stages.
- Establish and track KPIs, SLAs and product health metrics, using data to drive prioritization, decision making and continuous value delivery
- Coordinate across multiple products and ART to manage dependencies, integration points and cross-team collaboration
Partner with business stakeholder and support teams to ensure successful adoption of new capabilities, including communication, SOPs and through stabilization

Education and Experience:

- BS in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience is required
- 4+ years as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar Agile role
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts across non-technical and technical audiences
- Experience SDLC implementation from requirements through design, development, user acceptance, and post deployment
- Ability to develop estimates and validate outputs from the development team
- Must have good project management, technical and organizational skills
- Must have the ability to multi task and project manage in a fast paced demanding environment
- Strong client interfacing background required
- Experience in Healthcare Payer environment is a strong plus
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe 6.0 POPM certification is a strong plus
Familiarity with AI-driven productivity tools is a strong plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Good understanding of computer systems characteristics, features, and integration capabilities.
- Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management.
- Proven experience in IT planning, organization and development.
- Excellent execution and understanding of project management principles
- Superior understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

- Responsible for compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations affecting Company.

Responsible for performing other duties and responsibilities as required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 – 175,000 with a bonus target of up to 5% of the base salary. We do consider a wide range of factors when making offer decisions, including (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, a candidate’s relevant skills, training, experience, education and where applicable, licensure and certifications obtained. We also consider organizational and market factors when making offer decisions.
