Manufacturing Engineering Intern
We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineering intern to support the development of standardized work instructions for on-gong projects. This role will work closely with technicians and engineers to translate real-world processes into structured documentation using company templates.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Manufacturing and Test Engineers and Technicians to understand current processes and workflows
- Observe and document step by step procedures on the production floor
- Convert document notes and informal instructions into Lean standardized work
- Capture photos and visuals to support written instructions
- Revise and update processes based on production team feedback
- Help identify gaps and in existing processes
- Maintain organized records of all findings and documentation revisions
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to take complex information and structure it clearly for others to understand
- Willingness to ask questions and engage with personnel on the production floor
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with technical documentation, lab reports, or work instructions
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk on the production floor for extended periods of time
