CCIE Security Engineer — Professional Services
Enterone · Remote (U.S.) · Full-Time
Most security engineers can configure a firewall. Fewer can walk into a conversation with a CISO, understand what keeps them up at night, and leave with a signed SOW. We're looking for someone who can do both.
Enterone is a Cisco-focused technology consulting and training firm delivering Professional Services engagements to Fortune 1000 clients. We're growing our PS practice and need a CCIE-certified security engineer who operates equally well in delivery mode and in front of a client — someone who's earned the credential, carries the technical depth, and can hold a consultative conversation with confidence.
This role is fully remote within the U.S. with minimal travel — the majority of your work happens virtually, with occasional on-site visits only when the engagement calls for it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead and deliver Cisco security engagements end-to-end — design, implementation, and knowledge transfer
- Participate in pre-sales discovery calls, scope complex security projects, and co-author SOWs alongside the sales team
- Translate client security requirements into billable, deliverable project proposals
- Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement lifecycle — not just a resource who shows up day one
- Support deal strategy by identifying expansion opportunities within active accounts
YOUR TECHNICAL FOOTPRINT
- Cisco Secure Firewall (Firepower / FTD / FMC) — deep, not surface-level
- Cisco ISE — policy, profiling, RADIUS/TACACS, Zero Trust network access
- Cisco Umbrella, SecureX/XDR, Duo, Secure Endpoint
- Network security architecture across enterprise, hybrid cloud, and campus environments
- SOW development and effort estimation — you know what a project actually takes to deliver
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Active CCIE Security certification (recently expired will be considered for the right candidate)
- 7–10+ years of hands-on Cisco security delivery — enterprise environments, not lab work
- Experience in a pre-sales, solution engineering, or consulting role — you understand the business side of technical work
- Comfort presenting to technical and executive stakeholders in a remote-first environment
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. — no sponsorship available
This is a high-visibility role with direct access to leadership and real influence over how we build and position our PS practice. You're not filling a seat — you're helping shape what this team becomes.
