Description:

We are seeking a Network Automation Engineer to join our team and help build and operate next-generation network automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with network automation tools and frameworks, as well as a solid background in relational database systems.

Essential Job Functions

  • Design, develop, and maintain network automation workflows and scripts using Python
  • Implement device automation using Netmiko, NAPALM, Scrapli, and NETCONF
  • Work with automation frameworks for network service orchestration
  • Integrate automation solutions with relational databases for inventory, telemetry, and audit data
  • Develop and maintain network device connectivity, configuration management, and provisioning for Cisco, Ciena, Juniper, and Fujitsu platforms
  • Troubleshoot device automation workflows, network state, and database interactions
  • Collaborate with network engineering, operations, and DevOps teams to deploy automation in production

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with network automation frameworks: Netmiko, Napalm, Scrapli, Netconf, eNMS.io, or equivalent network automation/orchestration platforms
  • Hands-on experience with network device vendors: Cisco, Ciena, Juniper, Fujitsu
  • Strong Python scripting skills for automation and integration
  • Experience with relational databases such as MariaDB / MySQL, SQL Server
  • Familiarity with Linux-based automation environments
  • Experience with version control (Git) and deployment pipelines
  • Experience working with service orchestration tools and automation platforms in production
  • Familiarity with network telemetry, inventory systems, and device lifecycle automation
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and integrating network automation with backend services
  • Experience with network architectures across IP/MPLS, optical, and transport domains
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
