## Shape How Products Flow — And How Work Gets Done

At Forte Opening Solutions, craftsmanship meets modern manufacturing. We design and build doors that unlock possibilities—and we invite you to help orchestrate how materials, schedules, and information come together to make that happen.

### A day in this role

You’ll guide purchasing, scheduling, plant logistics, and production paperwork with a clear eye on KPIs. You’ll translate demand into plans, plans into orders, and orders into finished product—on time and to spec. Collaboration is constant: you’ll work closely with Plant and Production leadership, Customer Service, and Shipping to keep every order moving.

### What you’ll do

  • Establish and refine production planning systems; uphold manufacturing best practices and drive quality improvements across processes and products.
  • Partner with the Plant Manager and Production Manager to build purchasing, logistics, inventory, and production control workflows that scale.
  • Own KPIs related to schedule adherence, inventory turns, cost, and service—identify, structure, and address gaps.
  • Set financial targets, build budgets, and manage costs to maximize use of assets and protect margins.
  • Provide current material and component pricing to support accurate customer quoting.
  • Create and execute inventory strategies that optimize working capital and improve profit/margin performance.
  • Release and coordinate all production orders to the shop floor, including primary and secondary operations.
  • Process stock orders and schedule production to department capacity; flag and resolve constraints with Operations.
  • Coordinate remakes and communicate priorities and details to the floor.
  • Align with Production and Shipping to ensure timely delivery commitments.
  • Partner with Customer Service and plant leadership on all production scheduling matters.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain supplier relationships using scorecards to track performance.
  • Oversee plant logistics, including shipping/receiving and management of freight claims.

### Skills you bring

  • Working knowledge of CPFR, financial forecasting, inventory management, and customer service practices.
  • Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, Teams) and the ability to turn data into decisions.
  • Clear, effective communication across all levels of the organization; discretion with sensitive information.
  • Process-minded: document, analyze, and improve workflows, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Creativity and latitude to solve problems and streamline operations.
  • Experience with FoxPro is a plus.
  • Understanding of FSC requirements for purchasing supplies.
  • Exposure to Kanban stocking systems is an asset.

### Qualifications

  • College diploma in a technical/engineering field required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, computer science, or industrial engineering considered an asset.
  • 5+ years of related manufacturing experience preferred.

If you’re energized by coordinating complex moving parts and turning plans into performance, we’d love to meet you.
