What you'll be doing

The Automation & Software Product Manager – Central Region is part of the Automation Group and is responsible for promoting, marketing, selling, and supporting automation and software solutions across the region. This role combines product management, technical expertise, sales support, and market development, working closely with customers, account managers, and internal teams to drive growth and increase market penetration.

MARKET & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Analyze market trends, competition, and growth opportunities

Develop and execute regional business and product growth plans

Promote the value of assigned automation and software products

Identify and develop new automation market opportunities

SALES & CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Serve as a technical subject-matter expert for customers and sales teams

Support account managers with solution design, demos, and presentations

Recommend automation and software solutions tailored to customer needs

Provide technical and commercial support throughout the sales cycle

PRODUCT PROMOTION & TRAINING

Promote products at trade shows, customer seminars, and marketing events

Deliver internal training on product features, applications, and positioning

CUSTOMER SERVICE & COMMUNICATION

Act as a liaison between Sales and customers on credit limits and job accounts

Communicate clearly to ensure timely issue resolution

TEAMWORK & COLLABORATION

Foster a collaborative, team-focused environment

Work cross-functionally to support customer success and regional objectives

QUALITY & COMPLIANCE

Adhere to ISO policies and procedures

Support continuous improvement initiatives

CONTINUOUS & PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Participate in professional development, conferences, and seminars

Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and standards

Contribute to committees and special projects as needed

What you bring to the table

Must be a graduate of a 3-year electrical/electronic technology program with an emphasis on Automation.

Experience working in an Automation field is a definite asset.

Proven success defining and growing new markets.

Comprehensive knowledge of Automation product lines

Strategically minded with strong presentation, communication and relationship-building skills

Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
