### Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 7 years of experience with frontend development, including JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, etc.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, or API development.

### Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a structured organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • Experience in applied Machine Learning (e.g., computer vision, transformers, generative AI, LLM).

In this role, you will be responsible for the technical direction and architecture of our web and mobile applications, ensuring they are highly scalable, reliable, and capable of delivering a seamless next-generation experience for our users.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $262,000-$365,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. ## Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the technical goals and strategy for new product features and user experiences on the Google Drive front-end across web and mobile platforms.
  • Lead the design and architecture of user-facing features. Set technical standards, review feature designs, and ensure the high quality and rapid delivery of the team's product output.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of technical excellence and changing innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and cross-functional teams to shape the product roadmap and translate user needs into technical solutions.
  • Provide direct support and lead by example.
