As a Specialized Sales Associate in our Lumber & Building Materials department, you will play a key role in delivering expert advice and outstanding service to both DIY customers and professional contractors.This position is responsible for assisting customers in-store and over the phone by applying strong selling skills and product knowledge to recommend the right materials for every project. A passion for customer service and a willingness to continuously learn about our products are essential to success in this role.

Core Competencies

• Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends
• Basic knowledge of lumber, building materials, and tools
• Strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Customer service experience is considered an asset
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers in-store and over the phone
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate lumber and building materials for their projects
• Build relationships with DIY customers, contractors, and account holders
• Multi-task in a fast-paced environment, including answering calls and processing orders
• Pick and prepare customer orders from the sales floor and warehouse
• Support administrative functions such as order entry, organization, and invoicing for builder and contractor accounts
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked department

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
