As a Sr Export & Sanctions Compliance Analyst here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our company adheres to export and sanctions laws and regulations and minimizes its risk profile. You will be responsible for supporting due diligence analyses on a variety of third-party relationships at Honeywell Aerospace, helping to maintain a strong culture of compliance across the organization. Honeywell Aerospace subscribes to a number of diligence services, and you will be responsible for collecting data from these and other publicly available sources, creating diligence reports, and issuing recommendations for managing the relationship in a compliant manner.
You will report directly to a General Counsel in the Export & Sanctions organization, and you’ll work out of one of our Phoenix, AZ, Clearwater, FL, Minneapolis, MN or Washington, DC location on hybrid in-office schedule.
Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct due diligence on all types of third-party relationships, including distributor, vendor, and customer relationships, for Honeywell Aerospace, with a focus on export controls and sanctions regulations.
  • Make recommendations to leadership on compliance guardrails for certain third-party relationships.
  • Conduct audits and assessments in due diligence processes to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Partner with peers in Export & Sanctions Compliance and IT and make recommendations regarding improved screening processes to find efficiency gains.
  • Monitor changes in third-party relationship statuses and industry best practices for screening to update relevant stakeholders.
  • Make updates to a third-party’s status in various Honeywell screening systems, including SAP GTS and Salesforce.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE

  • Experience in export and sanctions compliance with a strong understanding of these laws and regulations.
  • Experience in conducting due diligence analyses on third-party relationships in high-risk jurisdictions or in the Aerospace industry.
  • Experience in using third-party provided subscription services for diligence analyses, writing diligence memos, and briefing stakeholders on compliance risks and safeguards.
  • Experience with SAP GTS.
  • Using AI with human in the loop to create more efficient workflows.
  • Proficiency in conducting compliance audits and assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to stay current with evolving export regulations and effectively communicate changes to stakeholders.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in export and sanctions compliance or related regulatory roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to identify and resolve compliance issues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing training on compliance matters.
  • Mandarin language skills a plus.
