POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Product Management is responsible for overall strategy including product line roadmap, investment strategies, budgets and profitability of the fan coil and custom air handling portfolios for International Environmental and ClimateCraft. This includes leading a team of product managers who will manage the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver winning products. It also includes working with sales, marketing and pricing to ensure price, volume, market share and customer satisfaction goals are met. This role also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company’s overall strategy and goals.

- Define the product strategy and roadmap via multi-generation product/technology plans
- Lead a team of product managers and other staff in the execution of product plans
- Translate corporate direction & strategy into global product portfolio decisions
- Evaluate & facilitate inter-company product synergy opportunities
- Approved product line strategy & associated business plan
- Communicate the strategy and gains alignment with the greater organization
- Recommend investment decisions
- Reviews product line performance metrics
- Deliver business cases and product requirements with prioritized features and corresponding justification
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
- Be an expert with respect to the products, applications, competition and the markets through use of available tools and resources
- Develop the core positioning, value proposition and messaging for the product
- Establish pricing strategy to meet revenue and profitability goals, while monitoring and adjusting tactical pricing to ensure compliance
- Propose an overall budget to ensure success
- Brief and train the sales force at quarterly sales meetings
Skills & Abilities
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study is required. Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering is preferred
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in HVAC industry and 5 years as Product Manager or Engineering Manager required.
Computer Skills:
Skilled with MS Office suite.
