We are entering our next phase of platform evolution embedding AI models directly into enterprise workflows and developing intelligent agents capable of answering complex operational, financial, and market-driven questions.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Mid-to-Senior AI Developer (3+ years experience) who can design, build, deploy, and integrate AI/ML models into a production-grade SaaS environment.

This role requires someone who understands both:

• The theory and mechanics of modern AI models, including LLMs, RAG models, and agentic structures, as well as
• The practical engineering required to integrate them into enterprise systems

You will work at the intersection of machine learning, data engineering, and full-stack application development building AI tools that operate on real-world building, energy, and market data.

Key Responsibilities

AI & Model Development

• Design, train, fine-tune, and deploy ML/AI models (predictive, optimization, NLP).
• Build, train, test, and deploy custom agents using the Model Context Protocol
• Integrate LLMs and open-source models into enterprise applications.
• Develop AI pipelines that incorporate:
• Enterprise operational data (IoT, building systems, CHP/turbines)
• Market data (weather, commodity prices, grid signals)
• External contextual datasets
• Implement model evaluation, validation, and performance monitoring.
• Optimize models for latency, cost, and production scalability.

Platform Integration

• Embed AI models into a SaaS platform architecture.
• Build APIs and services to expose model outputs to applications and dashboards.
• Ensure secure, multi-tenant data handling and model isolation.
• Collaborate with data engineers to structure clean, model-ready datasets.

Full Stack Development

• Develop backend services (Python, Node, or similar).
• Build or contribute to front-end interfaces (React or similar frameworks).
• Create scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Implement CI/CD workflows and MLOps best practices.
• Design schemas and performance queries for SQL database management

AI Strategy & Application

• Translate business problems into model architectures.
• Evaluate when to use:
• Fine-tuned models vs. RAG
• Open-source vs. proprietary LLMs
• Classical ML vs. deep learning
• Analytical tools vs. reasoning models
• Contribute to the roadmap for AI agents and automation tools within InSite.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in AI/ML development
• Strong proficiency in:
• Python (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, numpy, pandas, Django)
• LLM integration and prompt engineering
• SQL databases and RAG architectures
• Experience integrating AI models with enterprise datasets
• Experience with open-source AI tools and frameworks
• Solid full-stack development skills:
• Backend API development
• Frontend frameworks (React or similar)
• Cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of model monitoring, drift detection, and production lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in energy systems, building operations, CHP, turbines, microgrids, or IoT
• Familiarity with time-series forecasting (load, demand, pricing)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience building AI agents or conversational systems
• Knowledge of energy markets, grid dynamics, or energy procurement analytics
• Experience working within multi-tenant SaaS environments
