You will help define and evolve the architecture of a complex mobile application while improving performance, reliability, and developer experience across teams. The position focuses on building scalable client foundations, enhancing observability, and enabling faster, safer software delivery. You will collaborate closely with engineers, product teams, and designers to shape impactful user experiences. A strong emphasis is placed on modern Android practices, platform engineering, and system-wide improvements. Accountabilities

• Own and evolve the architecture of a large-scale Android application, ensuring it can scale to support tens of millions of daily users.
• Improve Android developer experience by designing and enhancing tooling, CI/CD workflows, and engineering systems that enable fast and safe development.
• Define and implement engineering guardrails such as linting, static analysis, automated testing, and AI-assisted quality checks.
• Build and maintain client health and observability systems, including performance monitoring, event tracking, and debugging tools.
• Apply AI-driven solutions to improve engineering workflows such as code reviews, refactoring, and CI automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality user experiences aligned with product and design goals.
• Mentor and support Android engineers through technical guidance, design reviews, and knowledge sharing on best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3+ years focused on Android application development.
• Strong expertise in modern Android technologies such as Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and coroutines.
• Experience working within large, complex codebases supporting high-scale consumer applications and engineering teams.
• Background in Android platform or infrastructure engineering, including shared libraries, frameworks, observability systems, or core app architecture.
• Strong understanding of scalable software design and performance optimization in mobile environments.
• Experience collaborating with product, design, and data teams to deliver user-centric mobile experiences.
• Practical experience applying AI tools or techniques to engineering workflows with measurable productivity gains.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional, distributed engineering environments.
