Seasonal Finance and Administration Assistant
Temporary position for 8 weeks
(35 hours/week)
Waterloo, Ontario
The Seasonal Finance and Administration Assistant provides administrative support to the Finance Department. They will support a variety of roles in the Finance Department, assisting accounts payable and accounts receivable. They are also responsible for transactions coding and data entry related to finance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing.
- Enter invoices, receipts, and expense claims into financial systems.
- Support monthly reconciliation of financial records.
- Assist in preparing financial documentation for program reporting or audits.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical financial files.
- Enter data, format and file documents.
- Update organizational databases and spreadsheets relating to finance.
- Provide clerical support for finance team.
Requirements
- Dependent on funding through the 2026 Canada Summer Jobs Program, the candidate will work 35 hours per week for 8 weeks. The successful candidate should be between the ages of 18 to 30 at the start of employment, be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee, and be legally entitled to work in Canada as per the Canada Summer Jobs participant eligibility criteria.
- Currently or previously enrolled in a Business or Finance university/college course.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to collaborate with others.
