As a Technical Sales Representative, you will build and grow account relationships within our Software Business Unit, focusing on our Software Platform offerings and Government and Prime Contractor markets. In this role, you will work closely with customers to understand their goals and key business drivers while developing tailored, cost-effective solutions that deliver measurable value. Successful candidates are motivated, consultative sales professionals with a strong drive to win, capable of balancing customer success with revenue growth. You will be responsible for developing opportunities within your assigned vertical, achieving revenue targets, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
- Maximize the profitability of the client and Mechdyne by matching our technical and operational capability to meet the client’s needs.
- Help the client identify and understand unique perspectives which allow them to compete more effectively in their vertical market.
- Work directly with Economic, Technical, and User Influencers using domain-specific technologies to create a favorable environment for the introduction of Software platforms and on-site teammate contracts as well as a sense of satisfaction with existing Mechdyne solutions.
- Understand key drivers and goals of assigned customer accounts.
- Proactively prospect new opportunities within assigned customer accounts
- Have the ability to qualify new revenue generating opportunities for software services and placing people on-site.
- Ability to work with a technology team to help identify and provide technology requirements.
- Responsible for driving proposal/quote preparation.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned vertical market through the use of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Power Skills You'll Bring:
- Experience in B2B sales or technical services.
- Must be willing to travel 60% of the time.
- Knowledge and/or abilities of CRM systems.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
- Excellent business writing skills.
- Above average verbal communication skills and persuasiveness.
- Above average abilities with Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
