Summary
The National Business Development Manager is responsible for developing, managing and closing business within several large accounts in our sales organization.
The National Business Development Manager manages the sales process for selling our audio/visuals portfolio of products and white glove services to named key accounts as well as managing the long-term deployments and mutually beneficial relationships.
The role
Mediatech seeks a seasoned, passionate, Business Development Manager to grow our partner-driven white-glove A/V practice. The role is high-profile and key to our growth. The National Business Development Manager is responsible for qualifying new opportunities, assessing client needs and pain points, coordinating with key partners, achieving revenue targets, coordinating with the technical Ops team, and properly closing new projects. In this critical role, the National Business Development Manager strives to become a trusted audio-visual/unified communications advisor – providing education, insights, and value that enable our clients to achieve tremendous ROI.

We typically decline participating in strictly price-driven bids and selling, rather focusing with our partners to deliver the highest value to shared clients.

What you will do
- Engage new and existing clients related to the Master Provider clients to provide high A/V value and sophisticated solutions the Master Provider does not specialize in.
- Proactively and efficiently manage Mediatech resources, virtual teams, and third party subcontractors to win high-margin projects exceed end user expectations in every deployment.
- Establish and manage key contact and executive level client and partner relationships
- Handle multiple complex sales cycles simultaneously
- Manage complex sales opportunities with multiple prospect engagement points
- Align superb audio visual solutions that solve prospect business needs, challenges, and technical requirements
- Articulate and evangelize the Mediatech vision and positioning and professional services to secure strategic commercial commitments
- Accurately key account forecast business on a quarterly cadence
- “Cross Selling” or overlay business development experience is a plus
- Ability to quickly assess audio visual spaces, needs, and required equipment to assemble logical preliminary budget quotes under typically tight timeframes
- Excellent quoting and spreadsheet skills – familiarity with 2D and 3D renderings a plus
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills: writing, editing and presenting
- Ability to resolve client and partner issues
- An effective sales team member who works well with the Operations, sales team, customer support, and Mediatech leadership

Required qualifications
- Previous professional audio visual or enterprise IT or UC experience is highly desired
- Minimum of five years successful experience as a direct contributor carrying an incentive plan
- Technically astute using common software: Office, CRM, Visio, complex spreadsheets, etc.
- Track record working with large/complex deals in the A/V space with Fortune 2,000 clients
- Creation and execution of quarterly and annual forecasts
- Excellent executive presence, communication skills, and credibility
- Proven experience of meeting or exceeding assigned annual/quarterly goals and targets
- Attentive to metrics attainment and reporting responsibilities
