Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for an SCI Cloud Engineer based in Colorado Springs, CO. The SCI Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and sustaining cloud and hybrid infrastructure within classified environments for a Department of Defense customer. This includes virtual infrastructure provisioning, network architecture and boundary protection, identity and access management, automation of environment builds through Infrastructure as Code, and maintaining operational compliance across multiple classification levels. The role requires daily on-site presence in a SCIF and close collaboration with platform engineers, application teams, and cybersecurity personnel to ensure infrastructure is reliable, secure, and ready to support mission operations.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in cloud infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or network engineering
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure Government cloud services including compute, networking, identity, and security
- Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, VPN, firewalls, and load balancing
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tooling (Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates)
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell
- Experience maintaining compliance with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP High, DISA STIGs, and ICD 503
- Familiarity with cross-domain solutions and multi-level security architectures
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure Network Engineer (AZ-700), or equivalent certification
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
- Active TS/SCI clearance eligible
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent field
