About The Role
ACET's Aerospace Division is seeking an experienced HR Recruiter Specialist with a focus on DoD aerospace programs. This critical role involves leading comprehensive recruitment efforts for highly skilled aviation professionals to support high-impact aviation contracts both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside (OCONUS). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing and screening candidates to onboarding, ensuring the hiring process aligns with organizational standards and government compliance requirements. The role demands a strategic thinker with a strong background in defense contracting recruitment, particularly within aerospace and aviation sectors. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now (Recruiting Management module) is essential to streamline hiring operations, maintain accurate records, and ensure scalable, compliant recruitment practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical defense projects, supporting national security and technological advancements in aerospace.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of experience in defense contracting recruitment, with a focus on aerospace and aviation programs. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Proven expertise in full-cycle recruiting, candidate sourcing, and applicant tracking systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now, is required. Strong knowledge of DoD contracting regulations, security clearance processes, and compliance standards is essential. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple priorities effectively. The candidate should demonstrate a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Prior experience supporting high-impact military or aerospace projects will be considered a significant advantage.
Responsibilities
As an HR Recruiter Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading end-to-end recruitment efforts for aerospace and aviation professionals supporting DoD contracts across CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Developing and executing strategic sourcing plans to identify and attract qualified candidates through various channels, including job boards, professional networks, and industry events.
- Screening resumes, conducting interviews, and assessing candidate qualifications to ensure alignment with project requirements and security standards.
- Managing applicant tracking through ADP Workforce Now, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all recruitment activities.
- Collaborating with hiring managers and project teams to understand staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable government regulations, security protocols, and company policies throughout the recruitment process.
- Facilitating the onboarding process for new hires, including documentation, security clearances, and orientation.
- Providing regular updates and reports on recruitment metrics, challenges, and opportunities for process improvement.
