POSITION SUMMARY:

This position leads and owns requirements management to meet the overall project objectives and comply with technical standards.

This position is the primary point of contact for the team during development to clarify business requirements, resolve issues, and make recommendations as business impacts arise.

DESCRIPTION:

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Applies analytical skills to clarify and understand business needs / requirements and interprets them into functional specifications.
  • Responsible for gathering, compiling, and synthesizing information regarding system functionality and flow.
  • Continually ensures the requirement deliverables are on track.
  • Deliver a range of artifacts supporting application functional analysis and design including current and future target state process flows, user stories, functional and technical specifications.
  • Works with Product Management to refine and prioritize backlog and drive understanding of information and process requirements.
  • Manage relationships with all stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and subject matter experts to communicate the proposed solution vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Define solutions to complex problems, requiring the regular use of creativity, within the larger context of the business needs and objectives.
  • Applies expert knowledge of Agile principles and ability to lead and improve SCRUM ceremonies.
  • Independently applies problem solving skills to investigate and research complex system problems to establish root cause and resolution.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and operational support for specified applications and systems.
  • Mentors’ members of business systems analysis team promoting good analytical principles and practices and providing expertise in complex problem solving.
  • Ability to effectively and accurately convey information to others.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of mortgage origination platform.
  • Demonstrated experience in Devops (VSTS) or JIRA
  • Product, process and mortgage industry knowledge
  • Mortgage industry experience.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in defining business problems and proposing solutions
  • A self-starter, capable of scoping and defining work, prioritizing tasks and working with large volumes of data
  • Expert knowledge of Agile principles and ability to lead and improve SCRUM ceremonies.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Working on-site at assigned office location.
  • Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership.
  • Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or as business needs demand.
  • Working in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations.
  • Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time.
  • Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls.
  • Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures.
