Software Security Architect
This role focuses on designing and implementing comprehensive security strategies for large-scale, compute-intensive environments, including advanced analytics and machine learning platforms. You will serve as a strategic advisor, helping stakeholders build secure, scalable systems that protect infrastructure, data, and workloads.
The position spans the full security lifecycle—from initial requirements analysis and architecture design to validation, deployment, and continuous improvement. You will integrate security best practices across infrastructure, identity systems, and development pipelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary security and identity expert for stakeholders implementing high-performance or distributed computing environments
Translate business, technical, and compliance requirements into robust security architecture designs
Develop and document end-to-end security frameworks, including authentication, authorization, and multi-tenant access controls
Advise on modern security models such as zero trust, including strong identity verification, encryption, and network segmentation
Integrate application security tools into development pipelines to proactively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities
Design and implement identity and access management systems, including federation, lifecycle management, and privileged access controls
Lead validation efforts such as proof-of-concept testing to ensure security controls meet performance and compliance requirements
Provide guidance on container and orchestration platform security, including policy enforcement and runtime protections
Build and automate secure infrastructure provisioning using infrastructure-as-code and scripting tools
Create reusable design patterns, frameworks, and operational playbooks for secure system deployment
Conduct security assessments and recommend improvements to strengthen resilience, compliance, and efficiency
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to incorporate security requirements into platform development
Monitor emerging trends in security, identity, and regulatory standards, and translate them into actionable strategies
Participate in technical discussions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing forums as a subject matter expert
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline
Experience in security architecture, identity management, or cybersecurity engineering within large-scale or distributed systems
Strong knowledge of identity and access control concepts, including authentication, authorization, and federation protocols
Expertise in infrastructure and workload protection, including encryption, segmentation, and isolation techniques
Familiarity with container and orchestration security practices, including policy enforcement and runtime controls
Experience integrating security tools into development and deployment workflows
Proficiency in automation and scripting for infrastructure security (e.g., infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, or programming languages)
Understanding of industry compliance and security standards
Ability to translate complex security requirements into practical, scalable solutions
Strong communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing secure, multi-tenant environments for high-performance or data-intensive systems
Hands-on knowledge of privileged access controls, secrets management, and identity lifecycle processes
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools for tracking system and security health
Contributions to open-source or collaborative security-related initiatives
Relevant certifications in cybersecurity, cloud security, or container security
Advanced degree in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, or a related field
