The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven
Ocean & Air Freight Business Development Manager
to join our growing team. This is a prime opportunity for a strategic sales professional to make a significant impact by driving new revenue and building lasting client relationships. You will be instrumental in expanding our market presence by leveraging our industry-leading platform and comprehensive service offerings.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with our
strong support team,
including our Ocean & Air Product, Pricing, Key Account Management, and Strategic Partnerships divisions - to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities. This structure allows you to
focus on hunting and developing new accounts
with the confidence that our team will
provide exceptional service to retain and grow your client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Acquisition:
Hunt and secure new customers for our Ocean and Air Freight services, focusing on high-value opportunities.
- Lead Generation & Targeting:
Utilize our advanced systems and market intelligence to identify, qualify, and prioritize high-quality leads.
- Solution Selling:
Develop, present, and negotiate competitive quotes and tailored supply chain solutions to prospects and existing clients.
- Relationship Management:
Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and driving growth within existing accounts.
- Pipeline Management:
Maintain a meticulous and accurate sales pipeline using our CRM, providing regular forecasts and progress reports.
- Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and execute individual Sales Action Plans, incorporating clear activity, opportunity, and revenue goals.
- Market Expertise:
Participate in ongoing training to maintain deep knowledge of our products, services, and the competitive landscape.
- Performance Excellence:
Consistently meet or exceed quarterly sales targets for new business and account growth.
What You Bring (Requirements):
- Proven successful sales experience
in ocean or air freight sales is a must.
- A hunter mentality with a demonstrated ability to close new business.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative spirit with the ability to work effectively across internal departments.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
- Multilingual abilities are an advantage.
