Overview

We are seeking an experienced Identity Security Engineer to support and enhance Identity & Access Management capabilities, with a focus on Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM). This role partners with IT, Infrastructure, Security teams, and external SOC providers to strengthen identity assurance and reduce privileged access risk. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with MFA and PAM platforms and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Identity & Access Engineering

• Administer and support MFA and PAM platforms, with a focus on Duo (MFA) and Delinea Secret Server (PAM)

• Design and implement secure authentication and privileged access solutions

• Integrate MFA and PAM controls across enterprise applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments

• Support onboarding of users, systems, and applications into identity platforms

Security Operations & Risk Management

• Partner with internal security teams and external SOC providers to monitor and respond to identity- related threats

• Enforce least privilege access and secure credential management practices

• Support incident response efforts related to identity and privileged access risks

• Conduct access reviews and support audit and compliance activities

Platform Reliability & Resilience

• Ensure availability, performance, and reliability of MFA and PAM platforms

• Support secure access during emergency scenarios, including break-glass procedures

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex authentication and access issues

• Maintain system documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with IT, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to align identity solutions with business needs

• Collaborate on system integrations, architecture, and security design

• Provide guidance on identity and access best practices

• Drive continuous improvement of identity security processes and controls

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Security Engineering, Identity & Access Management, or related field

• Hands-on experience with MFA solutions (e.g., Duo, Okta Verify, Microsoft Authenticator)

• Experience with PAM tools, preferably Delinea Secret Server or similar platforms (CyberArk, BeyondTrust)

• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and least privilege principles

• Experience integrating identity solutions with enterprise systems and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

• Familiarity with Active Directory and/or Azure AD

• Experience working with SOC teams and supporting security monitoring and incident response

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Technical Skills

• MFA and PAM platforms

• Active Directory and Azure AD

• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)

• Scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python)

• Security monitoring and logging tools

• General network, system, and application security concepts

Nice to Have

• Experience in regulated environments (life sciences, healthcare, financial services)

• Knowledge of frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or SOC 2

• Experience with identity governance and access certification

• Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture
