- Prepare and review quarterly and year-end audit schedules and reconciliations; serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors.
- Partner with the VP of Finance to support and refine budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, including headcount and operating expense planning with HR and department leaders.
- Help design, implement, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies, including SOX-ready processes as the company scales.
- Identify, lead, and execute special projects and process automation/streamlining initiatives to improve close timelines and reporting quality.
- Provide guidance and informal mentorship to more junior team members and contribute to Finance best practices.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.

- BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- Deep, practical knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close best practices.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, and ideally macros), with solid working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with modern ERP/accounting systems, with a track record of improving or optimizing processes within those systems.
- Proven ability to independently own processes, prioritize multiple deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly present financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical accounting and financial analysis.
- Ability to read and follow company policies and procedures, define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, draw sound conclusions, and clearly report findings.
