Position Overview

We are seeking a Program Manager to oversee our community-based day programs serving individuals in Danville, Todos Santos Plaza (Concord), and Diablo Valley College (Pleasant Hill).

This role operates fully in the community—not in a single facility. The Program Manager will lead teams supporting individuals in real-world environments such as campuses, parks, and local businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple community-based program locations
  • Ensure adequate staffing and coverage to maintain the safety and wellbeing of all individuals served
  • Supervise, coach, and provide ongoing feedback to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Assistant Managers
  • Lead performance management, including coaching, corrective action, and employee evaluations
  • Ensure consistent implementation of person-centered services, Individual Support Plans (ISPs), and Behavior Support Plans
  • Provide hands-on support to individuals as needed to ensure quality care and safety
  • Oversee and support staff in completing daily notes, reports, and required documentation accurately and on time
  • Ensure compliance with all DDS, Regional Center (RCEB), and Community Care Licensing (CCL) regulations
  • Monitor and ensure completion of Special Incident Reports and Abuse/Neglect reporting requirements
  • Support development and implementation of community-based activities and schedules
  • Maintain communication with families, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in intake processes, including tours, interviews, and program fit assessments
  • Ensure staff are properly trained in Pro-ACT (or equivalent) de-escalation techniques and best practices
  • Ensure program vehicles are maintained, inspected, and used safely (if applicable)
  • Maintain organized and compliant client records and files
  • Support program operations within budget and resource guidelines
  • Facilitate team meetings and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Partner with leadership and HR on hiring, onboarding, and staff development initiatives

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field + 1 year of supervisory experience,
  • OR
  • High school diploma + 4 years of experience supporting individuals with IDD and 1 year in a supervisory roleAdditional Requirements:
  • Experience in IDD services, day programs, or community-based support preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple sites, priorities, and teams

Work Environment & Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to travel regularly between Danville, Concord, and Pleasant Hill
  • Must be comfortable working in a fully community-based setting
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing daily program needs

Pay: $32.00 - $37.00 per hour
