Data Analyst
General Purpose
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Data Analyst with advanced Excel skills to support healthcare claims accuracy and reconciliation. This role is responsible for reviewing and validating claims data in Excel, leveraging Excel Query (Power Query) to pull updated reports, comparing new and historical claims data, and identifying discrepancies.
The analyst will take ownership of researching and resolving inconsistencies, including direct outreach to healthcare providers when needed. This role requires a self-starter who is comfortable working independently, has strong follow-through, and is interested in expanding into process automation and RPA over time.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Review and validate claims data for accuracy and completeness
- Use Excel Query (Power Query) to extract, refresh, and compare claims reports
- Reconcile new claims data against historical data and identify discrepancies
- Investigate and resolve variances, including outreach to healthcare providers
- Maintain detailed documentation of findings and resolutions
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort through automation
Job Qualifications
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Query required)
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong communication skills for provider outreach
- Self-starter with the ability to manage work independently
- Interest in learning automation and RPA tools
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations, including the protection of all PHI and the maintenance of confidentiality in all data handling activities
Experience:
- 0–5 years of experience in claims processing, operations, data review, or an analytical support role
