Brief Description
The Sales Engineer serves as a critical link between our customers, sales team, and engineering functions. This role is responsible for delivering technical expertise, developing tailored solutions, and driving profitable growth by supporting customers and sales representatives throughout the entire sales cycle. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with a customer-focused mindset and a drive to win business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, sales representatives, and internal teams regarding Ritz products and solutions
- Support achievement of sales and marketing objectives, including order intake, revenue growth, and margin targets
- Develop accurate, timely, and competitive proposals in response to customer specifications and bid requirements
- Interpret technical requirements and identify customized solutions for utility and OEM applications
- Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support, including product selection, troubleshooting, and application guidance
- Partner with Regional Sales Managers to drive opportunities and close business
- Deliver product training and technical presentations to customers, reps, and internal teams
- Analyze competitive positioning, market trends, and pricing strategies; provide recommendations to improve win rates and profitability
- Support continuous improvement efforts by providing customer feedback to engineering, product development, and leadership teams
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers and represent Ritz in a professional, solutions-oriented manner

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or related technical field
- 2+ years of experience in a technical sales, applications engineering, or similar role
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, or transformer products (preferred)
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and customer requirements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
