Our Christian foundation, based in Charlotte, NC, is dedicated to serving and uplifting individuals and families experiencing poverty. We're seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support our ministry through case management, applicant intake, and day-to-day administrative operations. About the Role
This is a part-time, remote position (20 hours per week). Candidates must be local to the Charlotte, NC area, as occasional in-person meetings or coordination may be required.
What You'll Do
- Document and maintain accurate case notes, ensuring all applicant interactions and updates are recorded in a timely manner
- Answer incoming intake calls from applicants seeking assistance, gathering required information and guiding them through next steps with kindness, patience, and professionalism
- Schedule and conduct intake interviews, capturing key details and routing files to the appropriate team members
- Maintain and update spreadsheets in Excel, including data entry, basic formulas, filtering, and reporting
- Work within internal databases and case management systems to track applicant status and follow-ups
- Respond to general email inquiries and assist with correspondence
- Support the team with light administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and document preparation
- Handle sensitive information and personal stories with the utmost confidentiality, dignity, and care
What We're Looking For
- A committed Christian whose faith motivates a genuine love for serving the poor and underserved (this is a ministry role, and faith alignment is required)
- A heart of compassion, humility, and patience when working with individuals in difficult circumstances
- Prior experience in an administrative, intake, or case support role preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable making and receiving a high volume of phone calls
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data entry, sorting, basic formulas)
- Quick learner with new software systems and databases
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and able to manage priorities independently in a remote environment
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
Schedule & Location
- Part-time, 20 hours per week
- Remote, but must reside in the Charlotte, NC metro area
- Flexible weekday scheduling
