Systems Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Systems Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in leading complex upgrade projects and ensuring their success, working with a dedicated team of professionals.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with the client's systems engineering and project management plans.
• Manages a project's scope, schedule, and budget in accordance with company policy.
• Provides leadership and direction in complex railway upgrade projects and resolves issues involving the design of multiple stakeholders.
• Ensures the technical deliverables are distributed to the correct resources by facilitating design review processes.
• Provides a holistic picture of the status of all systems that comprise the project and ensures their developments are coordinated.
• Leads and chairs meetings and workshops with project stakeholders, clients, and third-party companies.
• Manages a risk register and ensures critical issues are escalated throughout the business.
• Maintains strong communication with stakeholders, clients, and the project team.
• Researches and develops business cases on areas that need improvement within a client organization.
• Foster strong communication channels with stakeholders, clients, and project team members to ensure alignment and address concerns proactively.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering.
• Experience in managing projects in complex multi-threaded environments.
• Minimum seven years of experience in railway projects.
• Strong understanding of international railway standards.
• A Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is required.
• A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
• Business development skills, including writing technical content, RFP responses, and proposals, are considered an asset.
