Sr. Help Desk Technician
Qualifications:
The standard qualifications for this classification are listed below; however, any combination of experience and training that would provide the required knowledge and abilities and the ability to perform the essential functions may qualify.
Experience
:
Four (4) years of full-time experience providing hardware/software support and maintenance of computer workstations, peripherals and audio/video systems or three (3) years if at least one year was in a court environment.
Certifications
:
CompTIA A+
In addition, at least two (2) of the following certifications must be obtained within one (1) year of employment and kept current through the course of employment with Placer Superior Court: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ or PMP-Project Management Professional (or similar project management certification)
Placer County Superior Court will allow incumbents to acquire such certifications within one (1) year from date of hire. The Placer County Superior Court will pay for an incumbent to attend class for subsequent renewals. The Court will reimburse incumbent for two tests per renewal. Failure to obtain or maintain certifications may result in separation of employment.
Substitution Notes:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree (AA or AS) or higher in computer science, information systems or a closely related field may be substituted for one year of the experience requirement.
- Additional qualifying experience may substitute for certification requirements.
