Assistant Project Manager | Architecture

Salary Range:
$75,000 - $90,000

JOB SUMMARY

This role is responsible for working with our Project Manager to see each phase of assigned projects through to completion including adherence to schedules, design quality, and processes to ensure smooth workflow and successful project delivery. This role, we expect you to be capable of semi-autonomous implementation of the primary duties and responsibilities.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage organization of project files, documents, and photos
  • Produce permit sets, outline specifications, schedules, and details
  • Exchange data and general coordination with structural engineers and other consultants
  • Maintain AutoCAD standards – update blocks and templates, streamline the working drawing
  • Elevate our graphic standards and aesthetic
  • Product research and office library updates
  • Toggle between jobs and tasks
  • Track drawing deadlines
  • Awareness of product lead times
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take succinct but coherent notes for sharing with team members
  • Communicate regularly and directly with clients
  • Create presentation materials
  • Prepare drawings and submittal packages from schematic design through construction documents
  • Collaborate in design process and make decisions within a team
  • Source, purchase, receive, and quality check FF&E
  • Code research, for example: environmental, safety, structural, and zoning regulations
  • Conduct site visits (documentation, field measurements, etc.)
  • Construction Administration which may include bringing a contractor on board, participating in walk throughs with     potential contractors, collecting bids, reviewing bids with the client, and engaging the chosen contractor.
  • Navigate drawings/submittals through permit offices as projects require
  • Create models (physical/digital)
  • Provide periodic updates to Project Manager
  • Jump into non project related tasks from time to time

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES - REQUIRED

  • 3-5 years related job experience
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suites, and G Suite
  • Demonstrate professional and clear communication skills
  • Efficient time management and prioritization of assigned tasks
  • Flexibility to toggle between jobs and tasks
  • Proficiency in hand drawing and ability to effectively communicate graphically
  • Strong sense of self motivation and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in the production of Construction Documentation
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. No sponsorship available for this position
  • Must have a valid CA driver's license

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES – PREFERRED

  • Ability to hand render and draw perspectives a plus
