Forward Deployed AI Engineer

Venture backed defense tech firm, in the threat detection software space, is looking to bring on a few Forward Deployed AI Engineers to work on-site in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will be experienced: building multi-agent orchestration systems, designing and deploying end-to-end cloud-based agentic AI systems and have a client facing background delivering on customer solutions. Preferred:

• Background delivering AI/ML solutions and deploying into production

• Experienced building and shipping agentic AI systems into production for clients (RAG, LLM's, Langchain, etc)

• Strong experience with Python and related frameworks

• Ability to obtain US Security clearance

• Previous experience in a client/customer facing position collaborating with field engineers and stakeholders to translate mission requirements into deliverable solutions

• BS in Computer Science or related degree

Desired

• Experienced with distributed AWS services: ECS, Lambda, EventBridge, CloudMap, etc.

• Experience developing OSINT-driven modules

• Background working for Applied AI Startup

• Programming background with Go, Java, Typescript or other languages outside of just Python

• Active Secret clearance or above
