Position Overview
Survivors to Superheroes is a
volunteer-run
nonprofit empowering young people affected by sexual violence through advocacy, education, and original resources. We seek a detail-oriented Volunteer Org Admin & Executive Assistant to support organizational administration and provide executive support to our leadership. This dual role is high-impact and offers direct access to nonprofit leadership and real operational responsibility. Please note that this is a volunteer position.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Chief of Operations: scheduling, meeting coordination, documentation, and internal communications
- Support the Executive Director with calendar management, email responses, meeting preparation, correspondence, and project follow-up
- Maintain and improve organizational systems, files, and records (Google Drive, shared docs, trackers)
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination among volunteer teams and leadership
- Assist with onboarding and documentation for volunteers as needed
- Lead or support special projects to improve operations and team efficiency
- Track tasks and follow up to ensure project deadlines and action items are met
- Help prepare meeting materials, and attend Executive team and Board meetings. Take minutes (as necessary).
Qualifications
- College student, recent graduate, or professional seeking nonprofit/admin experience or volunteer contribution
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with remote collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, and Zoom)
- Discreet, professional, and committed to trauma-informed, survivor-centered work
- Prior administrative or executive assistant experience preferred but not required
